Seats
The annual intake for the Bachelors Programme in architecture is 44 seats
including 3 seats reserved for Non-Resident Indian (NRI), NRI-sponsored or
Foreign Nationals. Fifty percent of the available seats are designated as
free seats and 45 percent as payment seats and the remaining 5 percent seats
are earmarked for NRI/ NRI-sponsored Candidates.
Eligibility
Candidates should have passed 12th class of 10+2 pattern or equivalent with
minimum aggregate of 50% marks with English and Mathematics as compulsory
subjects, and also have passed in Science (Physics and Chemistry) in the 10th
Class of the CBSE or any other examination equivalent thereto.
Admission
Entry
into the B. Arch. Programme is through the Common Entrance Test, conducted
by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. The test is conducted
in the month of May and application forms can be obtained from the University
in the month of April.
The allotment of free and payment seats is made based on marks obtained in
the Common Entrance Test and preference indicated by the candidates at the
time of counselling.
Candidates applying for NRI, NRI-sponsored or Foreign National categories
do not have to appear at the entrance test but they must fulfil the eligibility
conditions. Such candidates should apply directly to the TVB School of Habitat
Studies. The last date for these categories is 31st of August 2001.
Entrance
Test
The subjects for the Common Entrance Test are English and Mathematics as per
CBSE syllabus for Class XI examination and CBSE syllabus for the Senior School
Certificate Examination. In addition to this, general awareness, logical and
analytical ability and aptitude for Architecture will be tested.
